The recladding project at Murdoch University consisted of removing existing non-compliant ACM cladding and replacing it with a fully non-combustible ACM cladding system. At this time the University also decided to change the colour and design to achieve a new streamline look. The new system included all new framing, non-combustible sarking, Ultracore G2 panels completed with silicone work. The toilet block and admin building were the initial locations at Murdoch found to be a fire hazard which consisted of low-level fascia’s. The project was completed by using the offsite fabrication process of a CNC router and CAD software to produce the panels which were transported to site for installation. This process allowed us to complete the project within the very tight timeframe and working conditions.
